The message of the art expresses through. In the past artists often focused on themes of tradition and beauty. Today artists have a broader range of subjects to explore; including identity, mental health, etc…

In the past the people use to appreciate more the visuals and aesthetics, over the years we have begun to appreciate not only the look of the art, but also the message, the context in it was created and the emotions it arouses. We also become more oper to different styles and artístics moviments that we didn't fully understand before.
